An accident can be defined as any unplanned event that results in personal injury or in property damage. The cause of most workplace accidents is the failure of people, equipment, supplies, or surroundings to behave or react as expected. It is important to keep in mind that workplace accidents do not happen without cause, therefore it is important to identify, isolate, and control these causes.
