Managing an Older, More Experienced Workforce

Introduction

The characteristics and needs of a predominantly older, more experienced workforce are markedly different from a workforce that is younger and less seasoned. This session will provide an overview of appropriate supervisory strategies for older, more-experienced workers. 4 hours total.

Objectives

The participant will learn: (1) the specific characteristics and needs of older, more experienced employees, (2) a step by step approach to orienting, training and supervising an older, more-experienced workforce, (3) how to motivate and evaluate older, more-experienced workers, and (4) how to facilitate organizational change with older, more experienced workers.

This training session is appropriate for companies and organizations where a relatively large percentage of the employees are comparatively older and more experienced.
