Emotional Intelligence

Introduction

Emotional intelligence has been defined as achieving goals through the ability to manage feelings and emotions; to be empathetic to others which leads to influence; to motivate others through conscientious and ethical behavior. An emotionally intelligent person knows how to establish good relationships through the use of positive emotions and the management of negative ones. One of the more popular approaches of EI (Daniel Goleman's) identifies five components:

self awareness

self regulation/mood management

motivation (self)

empathy

managing relationships/social skills

6 hours total. Two 3-hour sessions.

Who Should Attend

This seminar is intended for any employee in the workplace who has contact with other co-workers, clients and the public.
