Noncredit Course Drop, Transfer and Refund Policy

Classes may be canceled due to low enrollment, an emergency, or due to inclement weather. We make every effort to notify enrolled students about course changes or cancellation using student contact information provided at registration. In the event of a class cancellation, students receive a seat in a rescheduled course or an equivalent course of their choosing. Students interested in refunds will receive a refund check from WKU. Please allow ample time for refund check processing. Most refunds are processed within 10-14 days.

Registrants who change their mind or can't attend must contact Continuing and Professional Development at (270-745-1912) or (cpd@wku.edu) as soon as possible. A one-time course transfer is permitted in lieu of a refund and must be requested by 4:30 p.m. CST seven (7) days prior to the course start date. Please consider sending a co-worker, family member or friend if you cannot attend.

Refunds for dropped classes are subject to the following schedule unless otherwise stated on the program website or registration form:

  • 100%: Withdrawal by 4:30 p.m. CST seven (7) days before first class meeting, less $10.00 administrative processing fee and all credit card processing fees (if applicable)

  • 50%: Withdrawal less than seven (7) days before first meeting, less $10.00 administrative processing fee and all credit card processing fees (if applicable)

  • 0%: Withdrawal after class begins.
