Continuing Education is a unit of the Division of Extended Learning and Outreach at WKU. We provide numerous services ranging from Childrens workshops to Non-Credit courses for professional improvement.
Pre-College Strings
WKU’s Music Department and the Division of Extended Learning and Outreach (DELO) developed the Pre-College String Development Program in 2003 to offer high quality instruction in orchestral stringed instruments in a nurturing environment. Five WKU music instructors offer private lessons through the program: Cello (Ms. Sarah Berry), Double Bass (Mr. Patrick O’Rourke) and Violin/Viola (Ms. ChingYi Lin, Ms. Rebecca Reed-Lunn and Ms. Jordana Greenberg).
Lessons are conducted in the Ivan Wilson Fine Arts Center, third floor. Students will also have an opportunity to participate in recitals and concerts. DELO coordinates registration for the program while the Music Department is providing the instructors and the classroom facilities.
