Commencement Celebration

Graduate and undergraduate degree candidates will be recognized individually within the college in which their degrees were earned.  There will be no rehearsal for degree candidates; marshals will guide and provide instructions for the Grand March and individual recognition portion of the ceremony. Master's and Specialist degree candidates should wear their hoods during the Grand March, and the tassel should be worn on the left side of the cap. Doctoral degree recipients should carry their hood draped over their left arm. Each ceremony is expected to last approximately 2 hours.

9:30 a.m. CEREMONY
  • Potter College of Arts and Letters
  • College of Education and Behavioral Sciences
  • Ogden College of Science and Enginerring

8:30 a.m.
Assemble in Diddle Arena Auxiliary Gyms and receive commencement pin from the Alumni Association.

9:00 a.m.
Pre-commencement music begins.

9:10 a.m.
Degree candidates depart the assembly location and begin marching.

9:30 a.m.
Commencement ceremony begins with the Grand March of the platform party, faculty and degree candidates.


2:00 p.m. CEREMONY
  • Gordon Ford College of Business
  • College of Health and Human Services
  • University College

1:00-1:30 p.m.
Degree candidates assemble in Diddle Arena Auxiliary Gyms and receive commencement pin from the Alumni Association.

1:30 p.m.
Pre-commencement music begins.

1:40 p.m.
Degree candidates depart the assembly location and begin marching.

2:00 p.m.
Commencement ceremony begins with the Grand March of the platform party, faculty and degree candidates.
