I’m the coordinator and advisor of the Social Responsibility & Sustainable Communities Master’s program, director of the Women’s Studies Program, and a professor in the English Department. After three years of planning, we can see the results of collective effort across disciplines with the final approval of the SRSC master’s. The SRSC is a cohort program, which means that our students will be moving through the degree requirements together.

I am an assistant professor in the gender & women's studies program at Western Kentucky University and a faculty member in the new Masters of Arts in Social Responsibility and Sustainable Communities (SRSC) degree program.  The Gender & Women's Studies Program broadens student's knowledge of gender dynamics, globally and historically, with an emphasis on issues central to women's lives.

I am an associate professor in the Economics Department. After completing my doctoral courses at Vanderbilt University, I joined the faculty at WKU in the fall of 2000. At WKU, I teach principles of macro and micro economics, as well as introduction to economics for non-business majors. I also teach courses in the economics of poverty and discrimination, labor economics, and graduate labor economics along with economic policy for the masters program in Social Responsibility and Sustainable Communities.

I’m the Department Head of Philosophy and Religion at Western Kentucky University and Co-Director of the WKU Institute for Citizenship and Social Responsibility. I’m also serving as the Executive Director of the Society for Values in Higher Education. My research spans across the disciplines of philosophy and religious studies, focusing primarily on social and political ethics and cultural criticism.
