Program Information and Program of Studies
Students seeking the Fifth Year, M.A. in Education, or the Rank I in elementary, middle, or secondary education may complete a 12-hour environmental education endorsement specialization. Admission criteria includes holding a valid teaching certificate, having an approved program of study, and a 2.5 GPA. Completion of the program shall result in the student being recommended for the endorsement as a teacher of environmental education.

Assessment: Continuous formal and informal assessment procedures will be used to document and systemically monitor student progress through the education program in order to determine the degree to which students have internalized and can demonstrate proficiency with both the Experienced Teacher Standards and the North American Association for Environmental Education Standards.
Note: A minimum 3.0 GPA in the endorsement classes and program completion are required as exit criteria.
