MSW - Orientation

All new MSW students are required to participate in MSW Program Orientation. Orientation provides students with " nuts and bolts " information needed to successfully begin classes. Students who do not attend orientation cannot register for classes.

Topics covered in Orientation:

  • The program you’ve chosen: What IS “advanced direct practice
    in rural settings”?
  • Planning to enter class – registration procedures
  • Student supports for learning: library access (including off-
site access), online learning, survival tips from current MSW students
  • Program policies and expectations
  • Program advising and the path to graduation
  • Plus, time to start getting to know each other and MSW faculty
