CHHS Graduate Finishes Boston Marathon in Top 100 of Female Runners

Bonita Paul, a 2005 Kinesiology, Recreation and Sport graduate, finished the Boston Marathon in 2:55:46. She was the 91st female to finish and 1601 out of more than 36,000 participants. Paul ran track/cross country at WKU and is originally from South Africa.

Western Kentucky University (WKU) Department of Public Health student, Laura Allen, was awarded a Fulbright fellowship for the 2017-2018 school year.

WKU School of Kinesiology, Recreation and Sport student, Gabrielle Ringenberg, has been selected as a 2016 recipient of the William N. Wasson Student Leadership and Academic Award from the National Intramural-Recreational Sports Association (NIRSA).
