School of Nursing Featured in WKU Herald

Starting in the Fall 2013, the School of Nursing (SON) will no longer be located on campus in the Academic Complex. A new building, The Medical Center-WKU Health Sciences Complex going up on the Medical Center grounds, will be used for the nursing classes. With the bigger classes that the SON are now accepting, they desperately needed room for their students. Although the building will be shared with the Medical Center, WKU will occupy approximately 80 percent of it. The new Doctorate of Physical Therapy program will also be housed in the new Health Sciences Complex.

Health Sciences Complex progess on April 12, 2013
The Family and Consumer Sciences department at WKU is pleased to announce that it has received notice that the Interior Design Bachelor of Science degree has been granted accreditation by the National Association of Schools of Art and Design (NASAD).
Dr. Scott Lyons, Director of the School of Kinesiology, Recreation & Sport (KRS) at Western Kentucky University, was recently recognized by the American College of Sports Medicine (ACSM) as a new Fellow of the College.
On Thursday, November 17th, students from the Department of Public Health in the College of Health and Human Services once again brought global health issues to the attention of the university community as part of International Education Week (IEW).
