CHHS Students Recognized at Scholars Banquet

Congratulations to the following students that were recognized at the 2012 Scholars Banquet hosted by the Office of Scholar Development:
Sara Moody, Social Work and Asian Religions & Cultures- Received the George Mitchell Scholarship. This scholarship funds one year of postgraduate study in any discipline in Ireland and Northern Ireland for up to twelve U.S. citizens each year.

The following students all received the Benjamin A. Gilman International Scholarship. This scholarship awards up to $5,000 for U.S. undergraduates to pursue academic studies abroad.

Bowling Green, KY – Three faculty members from the WKU College of Health and Human Services have been chosen to serve on the Board of Directors for Big Brothers Big Sisters of South Central Kentucky.
The WKU Institute for Rural Health (IRH) in the College of Health and Human Services (CHHS) received a $50,000 grant from the Good Samaritan Foundation Inc., a ministry of the Kentucky Annual Conference of the United Methodist Church.
