RN to BSN Students Attend Kentucky Health Literacy Summit

Twelve RN to BSN students attended the 2nd Annual Kentucky Health Literacy Summit: Health Literacy in Action March 24-25th. The conference was held at the Sloan Convention Center in Bowling Green. The students heard many speakers addressing topics related to the importance of health literacy. The RN to BSN students were able to attend due to funding from the College of Health and Human Services. Bowling Green, KY – Three faculty members from the WKU College of Health and Human Services have been chosen to serve on the Board of Directors for Big Brothers Big Sisters of South Central Kentucky.
The WKU Institute for Rural Health (IRH) in the College of Health and Human Services (CHHS) received a $50,000 grant from the Good Samaritan Foundation Inc., a ministry of the Kentucky Annual Conference of the United Methodist Church.
