Twenty-three RNs enrolled in the Public Health Nursing course of the RN to BSN program participated in Ag Safety Day on Sept. 22, 2011. The students taught a variety of classes for 359 Warren County 4th graders, including sun, bicycle, water, food and ATV safety, home alone, chemical look-like, meth awareness, and healthy lifestyles. The Ag Safety Day is held annually at the Ag Expo Center and is sponsored by the Partnership for Farm Family Health and Safety and South Central Area Health Education Center (AHEC).

As part of an ongoing campaign to raise awareness of antibiotic resistance, MPH capstone students from WKU’s Department of Public Health challenged local high school students to develop a video public service announcement to spread the message.
The Family and Consumer Sciences department at WKU is pleased to announce that it has received notice that the Interior Design Bachelor of Science degree has been granted accreditation by the National Association of Schools of Art and Design (NASAD).
