WKU School of Nursing member wins Professor of The Year

Cathy Abell, an assistant professor in the School of Nursing, was honored for her commitment to students at a dinner on Thursday November 1st in the Kentucky Building. The Banquet, sponsored by the Student Government Association, singled out professors in each of the 7 colleges and one advisor. Ms. Abell was awarded the Professor of the Year for the College of Health & Human Services. The Student Government Association cited her passion in insuring that nursing students succeed both in the classroom and in clinical practice. Ms. Abell won the Faculty Excellence in Teaching Award from the College of Health & Human Service in 2006.
