Events Annual Nonprofit Awards Reception We hope you will join us for our Annual Nonprofit Awards Reception. The American Humanics program at WKU will be honoring two local nonprofit organizations, as well as, a philanthropic business. If you would like to nominate a local nonprofit or philanthropic business, please download a nomination form from the main page of this site. Refreshments will be provided to our guests. We hope to see you there! Nonprofit Leaders Breakfast WKU American Humanics Students are joined each year by numerous individuals and leaders from throughout the local nonprofit community for an honorary breakfast. Students are able to network and present the latest program news to attendees. In addition, faculty members inform the nonprofit community of upcoming events in the program. It is a great morning for all involved, and we hope to continue this tradition in the coming years! Annual Community Partnership Service opportunities within the community are a paramount component of the American Humanics program at WKU. We hope to continue this tradition as our program grows at the university. During the 2008-2009 academic year the program partnered with the Girl Scouts of Kentuckiana and during the 2007-2008 academic year, American Humanics partnered with Friends of Lost River Inc. We are currently accepting applications from local nonprofit organizations. An application is available for download on the main page of the website.
