| Crista Briggs Assistant Professor Office: AC 113 B Phone: 270-745-8766 Dr. Briggs received a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) degree from Western Kentucky in 1996. While attending nursing school, she was inducted into the Sigma Theta Tau International Honors Society for Nurses. She was employed as a registered nurse at a rehabilitation hospital for three years and then accepted a position as a school nurse in Warren County Public Schools. Dr. Briggs completed her Masters of Science in Nursing (MSN) degree in 2001 and accepted a faculty position at Tennessee Wesleyan College-Fort Sanders Nursing Department in Knoxville, Tennessee. In the fall of 2002, she entered a doctoral program in the College of Education, Health and Human Sciences at the University of Tennessee. Dr. Briggs was awarded an Ed.D. in the summer of 2004 with a concentration in Curriculum, Educational Research, and Evaluation. In August 2004, she began as an assistant professor in the School of Nursing at Western Kentucky University. In 2007 Dr. Briggs earned the distinction of Certified Nurse Educator.
