Internships

Print this page

Students participate in a 300 hour cooperative field experience in an approved nonprofit setting where they obtain pre-professional administrative and/or programming experience with agency and faculty supervision.

Internships (paid and nonpaid positions) provide excellent opportunities for students to implement academic training in a professional setting. Nonprofit leaders mentor students and help students make career decisions and prepare to enter the workforce. In addition to helping the student, interns assist agencies in carrying out their missions. This exchange benefit students, agencies, and communities.

Note: All internships for the AH minor must be pre-approved by Dr. Poff in order for them to apply toward the national certification. Here are some of the internships completed by WKU's AH students.
