January 2008: 2,500 from WKU on-line development office to create on-line course in SPM 200 Introduction to Sport Management.
 
April 2007: $4,000 dollar Junior Faculty Research Scholarship Award to conduct research on competitive shooting and the flow experience. Research done in collaboration with senior level student within the Recreation Program.
 
April 2007: $2,500 from WKU on-line development office to create on-line course in REC 517 Legal Issues in Recreation & Sport.
 
May 2006: $3,700 DELO grant for development of innovative summer course, used to create REC 482: Recreation Workshop: Whitewater Raft Guide.
 
October 2004: Faculty Development Proposal Award, $250 in support of Board of Directors Meeting at the Tennessee Recreation and Parks Association annual conference.

February 2008: Kentucky Governor’s Office for Local Development: Recreational Trails Program Grant: Project Title: The Shanty Hollow Shooting Complex: $100,000 request to develop trail system at proposed facility and site. Project not funded.
 
November 2007: Bowling Green Area Convention and Visitor’s Bureau Special Funds Grant: $50,000 towards developing plans and cost estimates for proposed shooting facility at property owned by the University at Shanty Hollow Lake. Project funded.
 
January 2005: SMARTer Kids Foundation Grant for NEC Visual Presentation Products: Award: $475 towards purchase of Lightweight Projector unit. Project funded.
