2002 - MSW program established
- Communication Disorders United Federation of Teachers (UFT) Cohort in New York City established
2003 - Social Work became an independent department
- The first Dean of CHHS hired, John Bonaguro, Ph.D.
2004 - CHHS developed the Academic Center for Excellence (ACE), an advising and technology center
- American Humanics Program initiated
- BSW Program Initiated in Elizabethtown
2005 - CHHS developed the first Living and Learning Community, partnering with Greenview Regional Hospital
- Center for Gerontology established
- Physical Education Teacher Education Program offers an on-line M.S. program
- Nursing Administration tract implemented
- Graduate first cohort from New York in Communication Disorders (M.S.)
- Graduated first Master of Social Work (MSW) cohort
2006 - Clinical Education Complex opened
- M.S.W. Program initially accredited by the Council on Social Work Education
- CFS Student Organization, Beta Delta Chapter, first place in National Phi Upsilon Omicron’s Professional Project Award (only chapter to ever win this two consecutive years)
- The Kentucky Association of Nursing Students had two members elected to a state office
- B.S. in Health Science program approved in the Allied Health Department
2007 - Sport Management Program implemented in the Department of Physical Education and Recreation
- Exercise Science Program moved from a concentration in Physical Education to a standalone program
- Communication Disorders Distance Program named Regional and National Recipient for Continuing Education as awarded by the Association for Continuing Higher Education
- CD reaccredited by the Council on Academic Accreditation in Speech Pathology and Audiology
- HCA Undergraduate recertified by the Association of University Programs in Health Administration (AUPHA)
- The Baccalaureate of Nursing and the Masters of Nursing Programs reaccredited by the Collegiate Commission on Nursing Education
- M.S.W. Program accredited by the Council on Social Work Education
- Nutrition Minor Implemented
- School of Nursing Created
- Facility and Event Management Minor created in the Recreation Program
- Added Cohort of MSW students in Cookville, TN and Paducah, KY
- School of Nursing started an extension of the prelicensure BS Nursing Program in Glasgow
- WKU Recreation Administration Programs Celebrates 40 years of Educating Students
- The CHHS Dean (John Bonaguro) runs ½ Marathon to benefit faculty/student development
2008 - Anthem/Wellpoint Foundation provides funding to add a new Mobile Health & Wellness Unit
- GEAR-UP Awarded to the South-Central Kentucky Area Health Education Center in CHHS
- Renaming of the Early Childhood Center at the CEC for Dan & Vickie Renshaw ECC
- The Clinical Education Complex is renamed in honor of Suzanne Vitale
