The following dental services are provided to people in the Barren River Area Development District (BRADD) through our Mobile Health and Wellness Unit program:
Oral screenings and oral cleanings
- Intra-extra oral examinations
- Oral cancer screenings
- Dental cleaning
- Prophylaxis (scaling and polishing)
- Appliance cleaning
- Fluoride treatment
- Radiographs (bitewings, periapicals, occlusal)
- Sealants
- Dietary counseling
- Tobacco cessation
- Referral (as necessary)
Dental healthcare and classroom education
- Oral hygiene education
- Proper brushing and flossing techniques
- Nutritional edcuation
Interdisciplinary approaches to dental care
- Collaborate with UK and UofL Dental Faculty and Dental Students to provide services in the community
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to provide dental services in underserved communities
