Acquired Brain Injury Resource Program

ABIRP offers information, services and support to individuals with acquired brain injury, their families and any other interested persons who reside in the Barren River Area Development District (BRADD). The Department of Communication Disorders at WKU directs the activities of the program with the assistance of members from the community.

The program's mission is to provide individuals in the BRADD area who have suffered an acquired brain injury with access to university facilities and programs. These activities may include but are not exclusive to, recreation and academic opportunities.

Bowling Green, Ky. - Stars from across the professional sports and entertainment industries will be in Bowling Green Oct. 20-21 to raise funds for autism in the Campbell Chevrolet Celebrity Classic.

WHAS  Crusade for Children - Lisa Murphy, Director of the Early Childhood Center at Western Kentucky University said, "We raised the money by selling Big Red School T-shirts, Big Red books that had been donated by the author, & DVDs of children in Big Red School (ECC) to our families."
