Congratulations to the Chemistry Club on a successful
year! This year, our
primary goal was to emphasize professional development activities and
community service.
We look forward to next year.
Following are major events
we had in 2006-07 academic year
- Organization
of
professional
workshops;
- Participation
in graduate program activities in medical, dental, and graduate schools
at
- Attending national ACS meeting in Chicago;
- Performing Shrinky Dinks at the Greenwood Mall of Bowling Green during National Chemistry Week;
- Conducting chemistry “magic shows” in community;
- Participation in a number of fundraising activities,.
The Chemistry Club has study guides available for the ACS exams for CHEM 222 ($12) and CHEM 342 ($18), Specially designed T-shirts and molecular model kits for Organic Chemistry courses. To purchase these items, see Alicia McDaniel at TCCW 426 or a member of the chemistry club. Supplies are limited, although future purchases are anticipated. Buying the study guides before the end-of-the-semester rush is strongly advised, as we often run out during the last week or two.
