January 2008:

December 2007:

Dr. Wei-Ping Pan and Dr. Chris Groves presented progress of their joint research work at the 2007 Regional Forum of the Asian Environmental Compliance and Enforcement Network (AECEN) in Beijing. Click here to read the WKU news release.

December 7th-8th, the Berkeley China Initiative hosted a conference at UC Berkeley concerning environmental health in China, where Chris Groves spoke about the work of the CEHP. The title of the conference was "China's Environment: What Do We Know and How Do We Know It?" The conference was webcast in its entirety. Find out more at the official site of the conference.

November 2007:

On November 14th, the CEF held a meeting about the CEHP's work, during which WKU's Chris Groves and IIRR's Amelia Chung presented their work in southern Yunnan: Water Water Everywhere... But None Within Reach; Resource Challenges in Southwest China's Karst Regions. View the CEF's summary of this event. October 2007:

USAID CEHP Karst Hydrogeology Course took place at Southwest University of China, Chongqing from October 7th-14th, 2007.

September 2007:

Mr. Rick Fowler visited Southwest University of China, Chongqing to install the Shimudzu Spectrofluorophotometer. View some photographs taken during Mr. Fowler's visit.

China Environment Forum hosted the head of Greenpeace China at a talk at the Woodrow Wilson Center on September 19th, 2007. Click here to view a summary of this event, along with links to a powerpoint presentation and a video of the talk.

August 2007:

An article by Graham Lees in World Politics Review cites CEF's "Transboundary Air Pollution" CEHP research brief, written by Juli Kim. Click here to read Lees' August 15th article, "Beijing Car Ban Experiment Highlights China's Environmental Woes."

June 2007:

The CEHP has been awarded a two-year, $100,000 grant from the ENVIRON Foundation. Click here to read a WKU news release about the grant.

April 2007:
