Office
Put your office skills to work for the CCR&R!

Western Kentucky University Child Care Resource and Referral is recruiting volunteers to assist with clerical tasks for the office. It is a great way to gain office experience and work in a stimulating and pleasant environment. Activities may include answering the telephone, making calls, copying handouts, delivering mail between offices on campus, and preparing materials for mass mailing. Volunteer service is needed during the business hours (Monday to Friday, 8:00 am-4:30 pm) and scheduling is flexible.

For more information about this opportunity, please contact Ms. Heather Alms at 270-745-2216 or by email heather.alms@wku.edu

Materials
Recruiting knowledgeable volunteers to develop printed materials for parents and administrators.

Western Kentucky University Child Care Resource and Referral is recruiting knowledgeable volunteers to develop printed materials for parents that can be copied and distributed throughout the ten county BRADD, and placed on the CCR&R web page.

Topics of interest include but are not limited to the following:
arts and crafts parents can do with their children at home,
how to help children with their homework, ideas for encouraging
children to be physically active and fit, suggestions for planning a successful vacation with children, helping children deal with death, healthy snack foods, balancing work and family, stress management, and community resources for parents and children.

Printed materials for administrators are also needed and topics
include: leadership, business budgeting, supervising and motivating
staff, grant writing, marketing your program, and more.

Work must be the original work of the author and not taken from
other sources unless proper credit is sited. CCR&R will retain the
copyright and reprinting privileges, but the author will be given full
credit on the document.
