MBA Faculty Development Initiative Awards

Purpose

To encourage Ford College MBA faculty with current research and teaching interests to actively participate in the MBA program development, facilitate instruction and active student learning.

Criteria for Receiving MBA Development Funds

  • Funds will be provided based upon the number of students finishing a course, not preliminary or beginning enrollments.
  • Funds provided are based upon a 3 sh course assignment and will be prorated for 1.5 sh or other earned credit hours.
  •  Funds will be contingent upon satisfactory teaching performance and recommendations of the Department Chair and Dean. Faculty Professional Development stipends are credited upon completion of the course. Initiative awards were effective with Fall Semester, 2004.

Payments will be as follows:

  • 25 or more students $500
  • 11-24 students $300
  • 10 or fewer students N/A
  • Faculty payments are made upon completion of the course.

MBA Faculty are encouraged to: (a) participate in new course developments, (b) learning applications, (c) online course opportunities, (d) involve students in research initiatives and (e) engage business leaders and executives with MBA students to foster MBA student competence and familiarity with contemporary business applications.
