The Tree Advisory Board of the City was created to enable the city to receive the designation “Tree City USA”.  It sponsors public tree planting events and a tree memorial program, and coordinates Arbor Day celebrations each year. Through education and outreach it helps educate the public about the benefits of well maintained trees and how to grow trees to provide these benefits. Its web site features information on all aspects of tree care.
