Service One Credit Union (SOCU) is a nonprofit financial institution set up to help students and faculty at WKU.  Opened in 1963, it now has three branches in Bowling Green and one in Glasgow. SOCU offers a “Gas Pains Got You Down? Go Green!” promotion to encourage members to purchase environmentally-friendly automobiles.  SOCU is building a platinum level LEED facility at its Campbell Lane branch.
