Daniel Carter, DMD
Dental Director/Belize Program Coordinator
Daniel Carter is the Dental Director for the Institute for Rural Health (IRH), and is part of the dental team that provides services on the Mobile Dental Health Unit.
Daniel earned a B.S. in Biology at WKU in May, 2001 before attending University of Kentucky College of Dentistry where he received a Doctorate of Dental Medicine in May of 2005. Since then Daniel has practiced dentistry as an Associate Dentist at Watkin’s Family Dentistry in Nicholasville, KY for 1 year before rejoining the WKU family as an Assistant Professor in the Dental Hygiene Program in the Department of Allied Health in July of 2006. In January of 2009, Daniel accepted the position of Dental Director at the Institute for Rural Health.
