Material science is one of the main core disciplines of the Applied Physics Institute. We carry out the following projects:

• Non-desctructive measurements of the elemental content in bulk compounds using neutrons.
• Ion beam analysis and modification of materials using particle accelerators.
• X-Ray Diffraction and X-Ray Fluorescence studies of materials.
• Characterization of materials using Mössbauer Spectroscopy.
• Radiation effect studies.
