We have designed real-time analysis systems for industrial applications
such as coal firing power plants and cement production and processing factories.
These systems measure the elemental content in bulk compounds,
e.g. coal and cement.
API's systems perform these measurements using neutrons,
so the measurements can be performed in a non-destructive and non-invasive manner.
Furthermore, these analysis systems are designed so that the analysis
is performed on large samples or the entire product line.
For example, in cement, our system analyzes all of the product on the conveyor belt.
In coal, samples (about 5 tons/hour) are analyzed. In all cases, the average
elemental content is returned to the user in a real-time basis.
