In 2000, we developed in conjunction with RIS Corp., a PC-based four-channel ADC-amplifier system. The system is designed to be plugged into a PCI slot. It uses a gated integrator amplifier with very short time constants for high through-put. The ADC uses successive approximation to estimate pulse height with a conversion time of approximately 1 microsecond.
