Arts Alive! And The Bowling Green Youth Theatre Christian Theatre Camps

Arts Alive! And The Bowling Green Youth Theatre present the following summer camps for 2009:

Christian Theatre Camps! – July 20-24 - Youth ages 6-12 will meet Monday through Friday to experience life in the spotlight.  Throughout the week they will discover the magic of theatre while rehearsing, building a set, and finally presenting a short play with a Christian theme.

For 6-9 yr olds (9am – 12 pm), instruction will focus on building confidence, stage presence, and public speaking skills, as well as the art of developing a character and portraying it on stage.  Enrollment fee is $60

For 10-12 yr olds (1-5pm), we offer a camp for both new and experienced performers who want to learn about every aspect of the theatre.  Students will explore the technical side of theatre in addition to preparing their performance.  Enrollment fee is $75.

Theatre Extreme Camp!  - July 9-18 – Our Theatre Extreme Camp is an intense theatre experience for 13-17 year-olds, designed to resemble summer stock theatre.  Students will have an opportunity to be involved in every facet of a production, as they work feverishly to produce their own show before the curtain opens.  They will write, design, paint, saw, sew, act, etc., deeply entrenched in the fast paced life of show business.

All students will be involved in all aspects of the production, but they may choose either a technical or acting role for the performance.  This allows them to gain more experience in an area that they are most interested in.

Students will attend camp Monday-Friday, 9 a.m. – 6 p.m., and Sunday 1-4pm  Showtimes will be Saturday at 3p.m. and 7 p.m.  Enrollment fee is $150.

Little Stars! – July 25th, 9am – 2pm - One of our most popular programs returns!  Little Stars is a one day camp for 4-5 year olds who want a chance in the spotlight.  Students will rehearse a short play, paint a set, grab a costume, and perform by the end of the day.  Enrollment fee is $30
