Description: A Christian theater camp.
Christian Theatre Camp (ages 4-9)
Youth ages 4 - 9 will meet half days Monday through Friday to experience life in the
spotlight. Throughout the week they will discover the magic of theatre while rehearsing,
building a set, and finally presenting a short play with a Christian theme.
4-5 year olds- This year our Little Stars get a full week of camp!! Students will
rehearse a short play, paint a set, put together a costume, and perform at the end
of the week!
June 3 - 7, 9 - 11 am.
Enrollment fee is $60
6-9 year olds- Instruction will focus on building confidence, stage presence, and
public speaking skills, as well as the art of developing a character and portraying
it on stage.
June 3 - 7, 1 – 5 pm.
Enrollment fee is $75.
Christian Theatre Camp (ages 10-12)
This year we have totally revamped our camp for tweens, giving them more opportunity
to experience the world of theatre, explore God's truths, and find their own confidence
and voice! A class for both new and experienced performers. Come see the difference!
July 1 - 5, 9 – 5 pm.
Enrollment fee is $100
Teen Extreme Camp is a fun and challenging camp that's purpose is to impassion, equip, and train the Christian leaders of tomorrow. Through group Bible studies, team challenges, theatrical exercises and performance, and outreach events, students are impelled to discover, increase, and apply their talents and giftings for kingdom purposes and the greater glory of God.

Kentucky Library & Museum Summer Day Camps
Description: The Kentucky Museum offers four weeks of day camp during the month of
June. Camps are Monday through Friday, from 8 am – 12 noon. There will be a snack
break daily at 10 am, with drink and snack provided by the museum. Friends of Libraries
& Museum receive a discount on all camp fees. After registering and paying the camp
fee you will receive a parent consent form in the mail as conformation of your registration.
Camps are limited to 22 participants and are filled on a first come first served basis.
Camp Cancellation policy: Full refund when canceling more than 30 days prior to camp.
50% refund when canceling between 30 days and 15 days prior to camp. No refund after
15 days prior to camp.
Fee: $120 for non-members $108 for members

Clay Camp with Laura Bain-Selbo
Dates: June 3 – 7, Monday – Friday, 8 – 12 noon Ages 6 -10
Students in this hand building with clay camp will learn basic hand building techniques
to create a variety of functional and decorative ceramic pieces. Students will have
an opportunity to decorate their work with painted glazes. Participants will need
to pick up kiln fired work approximately two weeks after camp is over.
Chinese Culture Camp with Winny Lin
Dates: June 10-14, Monday – Friday, 8-12 noon Ages 7 - 12
Campers will explore Chinese language, arts and culture. Activities will include language study, mask making, Kungfu dance, Tai Chi, calligraphy, and much more. On June 14th, families are invited for a special performance by campers.
Make It Camp with Lynne Ferguson
Dates: June 17 - 21, Monday – Friday, 8-12 noon Ages 8 - 13
Campers will learn to make fun and useful items out of various materials. Handmade items will include a woven basket, painted bird house gourd, molded paper bowl, hand-made book, wind-sock and more. Students will also have the opportunity to tour Kentucky Museum exhibits.
Art Camp with Lynne Ferguson
Dates: June 24 -28, Monday – Friday, 8-12 noon Ages 6 - 12
Students will learn fun and creative art techniques which they can utilize in their own art work. Campers will explore drawing with pencil, markers, and pastels as well as painting with watercolor and acrylic. Students will draw inspiration from guided tours of the Kentucky Museum exhibits and WKU's outdoor sculptures.

Public Theatre of Kentucky Day Camp
Description: Theater camps ending in a youth musical. Each week's group of students functions as an acting troupe. They build their own props, do scenic painting, sound, lighting, costuming, and act in a play. While learning about these exciting parts of theatre, students build self-confidence, learn teamwork, nurture their creativity and of course have tons of fun! Beginning students will have an opportunity to explore basics of each aspect of theatre while advanced participants can refine their acting skills through more in-depth character and technical study. Taking actors ages 7-14.

SKyPAC and Capitol Arts Youth Theater
Description: The Southern Kentucky Performing Arts Center (SKyPAC)) is excited to partner with the Missoula Children's Theatre this summer for four exciting weeks of camps where kids will be active participants in every phase of staging a full-length theatrical production. Vette Camp
Description: A safe and enriching program in a new and alternative location. Fun activities
to enrich each of the areas: creative expression, science, geography, physical development
and recreational pursuits while tying each to Corvette and the world of automobiles.

WKU Big Red Gig- Guitar Camp
Description: This summer, the WKU Department of Music will offer a 5-day guitar camp for ages 7-18. Big Red Gig, led by Don Hicks and John Martin, will teach youth of all skill levels proper technique, chord and scale shapes, basic music theory, rhythm, performance and more. Students who don't have an instrument can also participate! Through an agreement with Royal Music, students may rent an instrument for $10. Dates: The week-long camp takes place July 15-19, with morning camp for ages 7-11 from 8:30-11:30 and afternoon camp for ages 12-18 from 1-4:30. Instruction takes place at the Music Rehearsal Hall on the WKU campus.

WKU String Explosion
String Explosion! is a week-long day camp for violin, viola, cello and double bass
students ages five and up. The camp will be held in the Music Rehearsal Hall on the
campus of Western Kentucky University. A minimum of one year of lessons or playing
experience is required for students.
The camp focuses on orchestra and chamber music for violin, viola, cello and double
bass students in kindergarten through 12th grade. Students will be divided into orchestras
based on age and skill level. They will gain skills and improve their playing through
a variety of activities including string orchestra, sectionals, group classes and
outdoor games.
The final performance will be on July 26 at 11 a.m. in the Recital Hall of the Ivan
Wilson Fine Arts Center.

Description:
Acting Camp: Scenes and Monologues- Campers are divided by age/experience into two
groups. Each camper will be assigned a monologue (solo) & a scene (duet) dealing with
modern youth social issues. Daily acting workshops teach auditioning and performance
skills at individual experience level. Daily Tech workshops teach campers to prepare
scenery, costumes and props.

two ensemble groups to learn music & choreography for a youth musical movie medley!
Daily music workshops teach proper vocal technique & performance songs. Daily dance
