Bio
Brittany Ryan is the Office Associate for the WKU ALIVE Center for Community Partnerships. She maintains the day-to-day office needs, as well as coordinates volunteer opportunities, edits for ALIVE Center publications, and assists the Coordinators and Director with whatever they may need.
She has lived in Bowling Green since she was 8 and considers herself a native. Brittany earned her Bachelor of Arts in English Literature from Western Kentucky University in 2008.
This fall, Brittany started her Master’s work in Social Responsibility and Sustainable Communities. She is passionate about community, living in an intentional community herself. She is focusing her Master’s work on communities and social justice, specifically dealing with gardening, intentional communities, food ethics, local farmers’ markets, fair housing, and empowerment models in community development.
Brittany is a member of Volunteers In Action, the BG Housing Coalition, and is on the steering committee for Vision: A Multi-Agency Council.
