American Red Cross AmeriCorps Position

School Age Programming Staff: Site supervisors (20-25 hours per week) and group leaders (15-18 hours per week) work in before and after-school programs in both city and county school districts. Positions are available at elementary and middle schools. Those wanting to work in the before-school programs must be available from 6:30-8 a.m. on weekdays. Those wanting to work in the after-school programs must be available to work from 2-6 p.m. on weekdays. Minimum requirements include a valid driver’s license; reliable transportation; good written and oral communication skills; dependability, flexibility and the ability to work well with school personnel, parents and students. A unique opportunity to help homeless and low-income women and children find safe, decent and affordable housing. Develop partnerships and networks with community agencies and provide valuable resources to victims of domestic violence. Case Manager (Therapeutic Support Specialist)

Principle Duties/Responsibilities:

1.Assists in the development of treatment plans with the input of family, legal guardian or significant others.
2. Provides case management services to foster children including but not limited to, advocating on behalf of the client and family with social service agencies, court, police, medical, school, and other mental health professionals.

3. Conducts home visits and provides on-going assessments to ensure foster homes remain viable for placements.

4. Provides support to foster children and consultation to foster parents.

5. Complies with paperwork requirements as established by the state placing agency and Benchmark Family Services

6. Provides stabilization services on a crisis basis to prevent placement disruptions. Participate in the rotation of the emergency after-hours phone.

7. Assist with other miscellaneous duties as assigned.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

1. Education – Bachelor’s degree in social work or a related human services field, and/or equivalent combination of education and experience that meets the state standard for this job position.

2. Job Experience - Experience working with adolescents is preferred.


LifeSkills : TFC Case Manager

Brief Job Description: This position will provide case management services to children placed in the LifeSkills, Inc Therapeutic Foster Care Program.  Coordinate services needed by child, biological family, if appropriate, and foster family. Develop supervision plans for review in monthly family team meetings facilitated by the case manager.  Position will comply with all state mandated reports, documentation, face to face visits and medical chart documentation.  Provide telephone on-call (afterhours) crisis support in rotation with other case managers.    

Requirements:  Bachelor’s Degree in psychology, sociology, social work or related field.  Must have at least one year experience working with children, preferably children with emotional disabilities and/or children in foster care.  Valid driver’s license and auto insurance.  Must possess strong written and verbal skills.

Dispatcher/Office Associate Bowling Green, KY Transportation

 Closes: Full-time position available with our Transportation Program in Bowling Green, Warren County. The position responsibilities will include: dispatching, taking ADA reservations, scheduling drivers; processing transportation route and operational data for input and retrieval; Perform clerical support duties including preparation of correspondence, reports, and other general office duties. An alternate work schedule may be required.

 Qualifications: Minimum qualification for this position is a high school diploma (or GED), valid Kentucky Driver’s License; very proficient Microsoft office program skills, especially Word and Excel; excellent communication, organization and interpersonal skills with the ability to focus and remain courteous and professional in a fast-paced, interruptive environment. An Associate Degree in Office Management or closely related field is highly desirable. The qualified candidate will be a self-starter, demonstrate superior ability to perform all duties utilizing skills, knowledge, experience, education, sound judgment, personal initiative and confidentiality. Candidate must have excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to interface with all levels of personnel and customers in a courteous and professional manner. This position requires a pre-employment drug screen.

Salary: Minimum salary for this position will be $9.00 per hour.
