Events and Workshops

February 16th
Introduction to Service Learning
Instructor:  Cheryl Kirby-Stokes Location:  Alive Center 00 Time:  10:00 - 12:00 Description:  Confused about what Service-Learning is EXACTLY? Are you curious enough to want to learn not only what it is but how to place it in your curriculum? Then please join us in this seminar. You’ll not only leave knowing exactly what Service-Learning is, you’ll also leave with materials and resources to get you started. In addition, you’ll receive instruction on how to conduct Civic Reflections, a great tool to get students thinking critically about service, and you’ll hear from students themselves about the impact Service-Learning had on them both inside and outside the classroom. Co-sponsored by ALIVE Center and FaCET. BSCT: approved. Faculty and Staff interested in incorporating service-learning in the course curriculum, click HERE to register.
