Service Description: Kentucky Cancer Program works in communities across the state to reduce the cancer burden for individuals, families and friends. A network of cancer control services is available to the public, health care providers, and patients. KCP offices are staffed by cancer control specialists who build community capacity for cancer control programs such as: community coalitions to address specific cancer problems, outreach to special populations, educational presentations to schools, churches, businesses, and civic groups and community screenings to detect cancer in early stages.
