WKU offices in Bowling Green will open at 10 a.m. Friday. Classes Friday remain canceled and campuses in Glasgow, Owensboro and Elizabethtown/Ft. Knox remain closed Friday. Saturday classes in Bowling Green will proceed as scheduled. Here is a link to the University’s attendance policy during adverse weather conditions. Use caution and watch for slick spots on roads and walks.

Service Description: The Barren River Area Agency on Aging is designated by the Commonwealth of Kentucky and the State Office of Aging Services to develop and administer aging programs throughout the 10 county BRADD. The Barren River Area Agency on Aging is the clearing house for information, assistance and referral for the elderly and their caregivers in relation to state and federally funded aging services programs throughout the Barren River Area Development District. The Barren River Area Agency on Aging is administered by the Barren River Area Development District, advised by the Barren River Advisory Council on Aging and is operated under the BRADD Board of Directors. The BRADD ensures that the goals of the AAA are met through the services as described below for the elderly population in the 10 county BRADD. The Barren River/AAA provides assistance and funding of programs for the elderly that include: In-Home services such as: home management, personal care, respite, meals on wheels, home repair, and chores. Community Services such as; Adult Day Health Care/Adult Day Care, Alzheimer’s Program, The Ombudsman Program, Kentucky Legal Aid Benefits Counseling, SHIP (State Health Insurance Program), Social and Nutritional Services to include services offered by the Senior Centers which include: transportation, outreach, information, referral, friendly visiting, health promotion, telephone reassurance, congregate meals, meals on wheels, socialization, recreation, arts, crafts, and education.
