G.E.D. Espanol and English as a second language
For three years, the WKU ALIVE Center has supported the Hispanic GED & ESL program. Thanks to funding from the City of Bowling Green and Dollar General the program will continue for the 2012-2013 academic year. The classes are taught by Spanish-speaking instructors with materials designed specifically for the Latino community. The GED class even prepares students to take the GED test in Spanish! Classes are free and childcare is available.
Who can participate: Any Hispanic individual 18yrs or older, resident of the Bowling Green, KY area. That wants to learn English or earn their GED in Spanish.
Classes offered: Survival English classes. Level 1 and 2.
Location: The classes take place at The Foundry 531 W 11th St, Bowling Green, KY.
Times: ESL classes are Mondays from 5p-8p and Saturdays from 9a-12p GED in Spanish classes are Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays from 5p-9p
Fees: We provide free childcare and all the materials needed for the classes at no cost.
