   Leadership experience

   Volunteer experience

   Completed application (Steps 1-3) submitted by April 15th

   Kentucky resident (preferred)

   Federal Work Study eligible (must have a financial aid application on file)

   Admission into Western Kentucky University

WKU Bonner Leaders are selected based on their service and leadership experience, response to the short answer questions in the application, letters of recommendation, as well as financial aid eligibility. Preference may be giving to first-generation college students.

Application Submission Steps

Step 1: Complete Bonner Application Part 1 of 3 contact information form online below.

Step 2: Complete Bonner Application Part 2 of 3 short answer questions. Submit the questions via email to bonner@wku.edu by April 15, 2014.

Step 3: Bonner Application Part 3 of 3: Submit three letters of recommendations by April 15, 2014. All letters of recommendation must be emailed to bonner@wku.edu.


Program Requirements

Participation in MASTER Plan

Certificate in Citizenship and Social Responsibility - ICSR Certificate program

300 hours per year/ Approximately 8-10 hours per week of community service and training and enrichment

Maintain an undergraduate cumulative GPA of at least 2.5

Attendance at weekly meetings
