Following the three-week online segment of the course, 24 students and faculty traveled throughout the country exploring the rich history, diversity, and culture of Trinidad & Tobago. Developed in close collaboration with the University of the West Indies (UWI), the course focused on the inter-culturation that has taken place and its comparative and overlapping relationship with the African American experience. Students enjoyed a wide variety of learning experiences and lectures offered by selected faculty at the University of the West Indies.  In reflecting on his first study abroad program, Dr. Rosa has learned some lessons, but experienced far greater rewards and looks forward to building on this momentum for future study abroad trips to T&T. Dr. Rosa is grateful for the support and assistance he received through the fundraising efforts of Dr. Saundra Ardrey, the Diversity Abroad Grant and the Chief International Officer Craig T. Cobane; Dean Dennis George of University College; Dr. Jane Olmsted of the Department of Diversity and Community Studies; Rebecca Schwartz and the staff of DELO-WKU, Dr. Lloren Foster of African American Studies, and colleagues and staff too numerous to mention at UWI and WKU.
