How can I find out what I have to do to complete all degree requirements?
 The "Academic Information" section of the course catalog outlines overall graduation requirements. The catalog also provides more detailed information about each major, minor, certification and pre-professional programs. Your advisor can help you with any questions you may have after reviewing the catalog.
   
How can I find out who my academic advisor is?
You can use TOP NET and click on view General Student Information. On that general screen you can see who you advisor is, your major as well as your academic standing.
I am taking all of my classes through an extended campus location. Am I required to see an advisor on the main campus in Bowling Green?
Generally not, there are advisors at the Glasgow, Owensboro and Elizabethtown/Fort Knox locations qualified to work with you on the general education requirements and on the majors offered at each of those sites. In some instances, you a may need to visit the main campus but contact an advisor at the off-campus location first.
I will be attending on a part-time basis (fewer than 12 hours) in the fall: is academic advising mandatory?
Yes. Western requires academic advising for all undergraduate degree-seeking students who have not yet filed a degree program.
How can I obtain an official copy of my transcript?
Students may request in writing, an official transcript from the Office of the Registrar located on the second floor of Potter Hall room 216. Official transcripts are made available to students in accordance with the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act.
Do I need approval to take a course at another university?
Yes, it is recommended that you seek approval before taking the course(s). The Office of the Registrar can tell you whether the course will count toward General Education. If the course is for a major or a minor, the credit must be approved by the Department Head for that major/minor. You may obtain a Transfer Approval Form in the Office of the Registrar, Potter Hall room 216
