It is hard to decide what one thing separates WKU from other universities. The main quality I love about WKU is the “at home” feeling I get here. This campus is the perfect size to give students a feeling of comfort, especially in the advertising department. I wouldn’t recommend any other university over WKU, and I have been to a few great ones. The professors and the staff work together to help each student understand his/her strengths. Their number one concern is the success of their students, ensuring that each student leaves WKU heading into the brightest future possible.
Unlike many students, I have known for many years what I want to do “when I grow up.” My twin brother and I have always dreamed about starting a business together. Until we came to WKU we weren’t sure what that business was going to be. After four years in the advertising major at WKU, and getting the chance to work at Imagewest, one of the only student-run advertising agencies in the country, I have no doubt in my mind that I want to build my own advertising agency. I plan to find a job at an ad agency when I graduate from WKU, but within five years I plan to start my own. I have been told that I have lofty goals, but the encouraging people here have given me the confidence that I need to turn dreams into reality.
