What is the one thing that every new student should bring to campus?

Bring an open mind and approach your time at Western as your Academic Career. WKU offers an awesome educational experience that gives students the opportunity to transfer what they learn during their Academic Career into their Professional Career once they leave WKU.

Tips you would give students about getting involved are:

Get involved with different activities at WKU that do and don’t involve your major. This will give you an opportunity to network with others as well as experience the  “ Spirit “ of WKU. We have plays, concerts, lectures, sporting events, etc.

One piece of advice you would give an incoming freshman:

Make sure to have your priorities straight. You can still enjoy a social life but remember your main reason to be in college is to grow as an individual via your studies. There will be times when you will have to sacrifice fun time in order to reach your academic goals. You can do it!!
