What is the one thing that every new student should bring to campus?

Every new student should bring an open mind to campus. Put yourself out there, meet new people, and have new experiences!

Tips you would give students about getting involved are:

A great college experience is about so much more than just academics. Evaluate your interests, an find a club or organization on campus that does what you love. Being consistently involved in at least two extracurricular activities will make your college experience all the more positive!

Other campus organizations in which you are involved:

Spanis Club, National Society for Collegiate Scholars, Golden Key International Honor Society

One piece of advice you would give an incoming freshman:

Be proactive about fighting college stress! There are many factors of college life that can pressure new students: making friends, doing well in class, and enhancing their resume, to name a few. However, new students can alleviate some of this stress by getting enough sleep, exercising regularly, or seeking out counseling services on campus.
