The Carol Martin Gatton Academy of Mathematics and Science in Kentucky will offer research opportunities during the academic year. During the summer Gatton Academy students will be encouraged to engage in research to have a preview of the life of scientists, mathematicians, and engineers. Students may stay on campus during the summer to do research (e.g. conducting research alongside a faculty member in his/her laboratory or to work in laboratories and other STEM-related work situations). The Gatton Academy also will facilitate opportunities for students who wish to live at home for the summer but still want to do research and/or an internship.
