A.C.E.S. (Academic Community Engaging Students) is a partnership between the Academic Support Department and the Department of Housing and Residence Life (HRL). It is specifically designed to support first and second year students at South Campus, who live in the residence halls and are involved in activities on the main campus of Western Kentucky University. The mission of A.C.E.S. is to enhance students' successful matriculation into a global society by engaging them in academic, residential and social experiences. South Campus Academic Wing offers the Alice Rowe Learning Assistance Center– a tutoring and computer lab for students. Outside the classroom experiences with faculty related lecture content to applicable learning, such as extended tutoring sessions, watching films or attending campus programs and discussing these events together.

S.E.E (Summer Early Entry Program)
The Council on Postsecondary Education now requires all incoming freshmen to begin taking necessary developmental course work within their first semester of attendance.
The Summer Early Entry Program allows you to take the classes you need early and be right on schedule with your classmates in the fall!
There are special benefits to taking these courses in the summer. Some of these benefits include free tutoring, accessible computer labs, structured study groups, and the ability to get to know the campus, your classmates, and what it's like to be in college before everyone else!
