A little history:
Cherry Hall occupies a key site at the summit of College Street and commands a vista of College Street through the College Hill Historic District and the Downtown Commercial Historic District to the Barren River. The cupola at the top of the building's dome has become the official symbol of Western Kentucky University, and contains a set of 25 cathedral chimes.
