Budget Management, Recordkeeping and Reporting Student and Project Performance and the Evaluation of Project Performance
Workshop Content: This workshop has an emphasis on budgets, internal controls, financial management to cover checks and balances designed to ensure that grant funds are used for eligible expenses, conflicts of interest provisions and relevant OMB Circulars. In addition, attention to effective strategies and techniques for collecting, storing and analyzing data and reporting student and project performance will be addressed. Also training on formative and summative evaluation, a review of policies and procedures and other related topics will be focused on during this two and one half days workshop. The training team consists of educators, retired US Department of Education personnel, and past and present TRiO Directors from all programs.
Who can attend? Leadership personnel employed in, participating in, or preparing for employment in projects funded under the TRiO Programs from all 10 regions. Participants will be selected for each workshop on a first come, first serve basis, so please apply early. We will make hotel reservations for you during the workshop dates.

Legislative and Regulatory Requirements for Operation of the Federal TRiO Programs, Personnel Management and Student Financial Assistance
Workshop Content: This comprehensive training is provided for the TRiO professional and a team representing the host institution on instruction designed to assist representatives in understanding legislation and regulations governing TRiO programs. Additionally, the expectations, rights, responsibilities, student eligibility and history of the legislative purpose of TRiO will be addressed. Other topics covered in this training will focus on allowable/non-allowable costs; resolving audit disputes; coordination between TRiO programs and other programs for disadvantaged students; personnel management; how to assist disadvantaged students in obtaining adequate financial aid and the appropriate use of the grant aid provision in Student Support Services during this two and one half day workshop. The training team consists of educators, retired US Department of Education personnel, and past and present TRiO Directors from all programs.

**Each person must submit a separate application and it will not be processed until all team members’ applications are received in our office.
